Paul A. Strouts

Professional Biography

Paul A. Strouts serves as the vice president of Campus Services at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Paul began his appointment as vice president January 2012. In this role, Paul is responsible for leading 10 business units, including Auxiliary Operations, Bookstore, Center for Community Health and Wellbeing, Dining, Housing, Human Resources, Campus Services Information Technology Group, Parking & Transportation Services, Procurement and Business Services, and the Student Center. These units comprise nearly 1,500 employees within Campus Services.

Paul brings more than 30 years of experience in higher education to this role at Georgia Tech. Prior to joining Tech, Paul spent 20 years at Florida State University where he served as the assistant director of Business Services, director of the Office of Telecommunications and assistant director of Business Services, director of Business Financial and Auxiliary Services and finally as the associate vice president for Administration.  He was responsible for strategically directing and coordinating the activities of departments and areas that comprised more than 400 employees and an annual operating budget exceeding $18.5 million.

Prior to his work at Florida State, Paul worked at Indiana University for 11 years, where he held positions in continuing education, community outreach as well as purchasing and business support services. He received his Master of Public Affairs and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degrees from Indiana University in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
