Executive Vice President for Administration and Finance, Chief Business Officer

Tricia Chastain has over two decades of leadership experience in higher education and government in Georgia. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, she served as executive vice president of Administration & Finance at Kennesaw State University (KSU). During her six years at KSU, Chastain oversaw operations, strategic planning, capital planning, and fiduciary management during a period of transformational growth for the institution.  

Chastain also served as executive vice chancellor of Administration for the University System of Georgia (USG). In this role, she worked with the Board of Regents and system leadership to oversee the business operations of the USG and its 26 institutions. Prior to joining the USG, Chastain served as president of the Georgia Student Finance Commission where she led the administration of Georgia's 22 scholarship, grant, and loan programs, including the lottery-funded HOPE programs and the Dual Enrollment program. In addition, she served as the associate vice president for Government Relations at the University of Georgia. She began her career working for U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson where she held a variety of positions over 11 years.  

Chastain is a member of the Leadership Georgia Class of 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration from KSU’s Coles College of Business.
